When you rent most properties these days all rents quoted are exclusive of the main utility accounts such as:
- Electricity
- Gas
- Water
- Council Tax
- TV licence
- Telephone
The cost for these utilities must be met by the tenant. We advise all suppliers of the commencement of your tenancy, you are then able to arrange direct debit payments if you so wish. Meter readings for gas, electricity and water (if appropriate) will be taken on the day you move into the property.
It will be the Tenant’s responsibility to obtain a TV licence and have a telephone line activated or connected if required. In brand new properties, the telephone line is rarely connected, therefore, the Tenant will be responsible for the initial connection charge if required.
